Pupils should be in school all day, every day during term-time. Parents/carers are NOT allowed to take their children on holiday during school term-time except in very exceptional circumstances. Parents/carers must request the permission form the headteacher in advance before booking/buying any tickets.

If you do not receive the advance permission from the headteacher, your child's absence will be recorded as 'unauthorised' if you still decide to take them on holiday. 

Unauthorised absences are an offence and can be liable to legal action or a fixed penalty fine from Ealing. Extended absences may put your child’s school place at risk and parents may also receive a visit at home from Ealing's Educational Welfare Officer.
